Project Work

In addition to teaching, training and resource development I also work on discrete projects on a consultancy basis. This is ideal for organisations who want a specialist experienced sex educator/youth worker for a finite period of time. My consultancy rate starts at £425 per day and a discount is available for longer term projects.

Currently I am working with Wandsworth Youth Service on a project to develop resources and training for parents of teens with learning difficulties.  This involves working with a secondary school and parents providing support and advice around talking to teens about sex, masturbation, bodies, puberty, boundaries, crushes, love, lust, privacy amongst other topics. It’s a challenging and very interesting project.

Condom Man And The Advisors

A web based and social networking peer education project with the talented young people of the Hillingdon Youth Council. I trained really enthusiastic and imaginative young people in sex and relationships and worked with them around how to develop a peer education project. They decided on writing, starring in and directing ‘viral’ videos (which I learnt to edit) with an amusing array of characters and situations Myspace facebook

These videos were then distributed to local youth clubs and schools with a resource pack written by me.

Bish Sexual Health Drop In

I ran a lunchtime drop in at South Thames College focussing on information, signposting and ‘The World’s Finest Condoms’ for free. This was a time limited project where an experienced project worker was needed to set up and run and project in just a few months. This is an example of where the use of a consultant can be very useful and cost-effective.
